Isolated severe storms possible Tuesday evening
Damaging wind and heavy rain are the primary threats
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A ‘Ring of Fire’ setup may bring severe storms to the Carolinas Tuesday evening into the overnight hours.
This setup is where thunderstorms ride along the edges of a high pressure. For the Carolinas, these storms move in from the northwest, and have the potential to bring damaging winds.
Where the storms form will determine where they track, therefore, this is a tricky forecast. It is possible scattered storms move in later this evening and continue overnight.
IF we see storms, heavy downpours and damaging wind will be our biggest threats.
