SWAT called out to local senior living center after resident’s son causes disturbance

LANCASTER CO., S.C. – A SWAT situation has ended at a senior living center in Lancaster County. The Sheriff’s Office says it happened at an apartment at Cogir Senior Living of Harrisburg Park around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. That’s near Indian Land.

Deputies say the 36-year-old son of a female resident was causing a disturbance and making threatening comments. His mother left the apartment but he stayed behind.

SWAT responded and entered the apartment, taking the son into custody just before six PM.

Residents at areas surrounding the apartment were moved while the SWAT situation was happening. We’re told no one was hurt.
