YORK, SC — A 27-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
Robert Shipman was arrested Thursday after an investigation by the York County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, with help from detectives in Conway, Arkansas.
Officials say Shipman both distributed and possessed child pornography, and sent nude images over social media to a minor victim.
He is charged with one count of 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, nine counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and one count of Disseminating Obscene Material to a Person Under Age 18.
