Severe storm chances through the evening

Heat starts to rise into late weekend and next week

Saturday brings a little bit of a break from the unsettled weather, but I wouldn’t put the umbrella away just yet. There’s still a chance for a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Most of the day should be fine, so this looks more like a hit-or-miss setup rather than an all-day rain event. Highs will be in the mid-80s.

Sunday is looking much quieter. We should finally dry things out, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing back toward 90 degrees. If you’ve been waiting for a good day to get outside, this is the pick day of the weekend.

Monday is when the heat starts building right back in. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s. It’ll feel like summer is making a quick comeback as we start the new week.

Heading into September, don’t expect much of a break from the heat just yet. Highs will be in the mid-90s during the first few days of the month, putting us a few degrees away from some of the daily record highs.

Enjoy!
