Dry weather week with heat staying in place

Tonight, we’ll start to see more clouds moving in from the northeast, with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s. A light northeastern breeze will also pick up, and that wind direction is a pretty good sign that a backdoor front is sliding through the region. It’s bringing us a little relief from the heat and humidity.

Tuesday is the standout day of the week. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, temperatures topping out in the upper 80s and much more comfortable humidity. That northeast breeze will help keep the afternoon heat under control. It’ll still be warm, but it should feel much more comfortable.

Enjoy it while it lasts because the heat starts making its way back in pretty quickly. By Wednesday, we’ll still have lots of sunshine, but temperatures will climb closer to 90 degrees. The humidity will also slowly begin to return, so you’ll notice that summer feel creeping back in.

Thursday takes us right back into the 90s, with plenty of sunshine and afternoon temperatures around 90 degrees. We’re also looking at another dry day, with not much rain relief on the way. 

Friday turns up the heat another notch. We’re expecting a mostly sunny day with highs pushing into the mid-90s. If you’ll be outside, especially during the afternoon, make sure you’re staying hydrated and taking plenty of breaks from the heat.
