Heavy rain expected overnight into the early morning commute

Grab the jacket tonight because the chill is settling in. Clouds and lingering moisture will keep things cool and damp, with overnight temperatures dropping into the upper 50s. Overnight tonight the heaviest bulk of rain will move in with moderate rain continuing into tomorrow morning. The early morning commute will be damp with patchy fog reducing visibility. Minor flooding and ponding is possible.

The cool air will remain trapped across the region Thursday. Afternoon temperatures will have a tough time climbing, topping out in the mid-60s. A persistent northeast wind will make it feel even cooler, with gusts occasionally reaching 25 mph. By Thursday evening things will calm down with skies clearing leading us to a very chilly start to Friday.  Feels like temperatures will run into the upper 40s to 50s!

The pattern finally flips Friday. That stubborn cool air gets pushed out, clouds give way to sunshine, and much drier conditions take over. Temperatures will climb back into the low 70s. Bright sunny skies will take over and lead us to a pretty spectacular weekend.

Saturday and Sunday we’ll have abundant sunshine and temperatures warming into the mid-70s. This will be the perfect time to be outside and it extends into the start of next week.
