Tracking tropical moisture this weekend

Quiet cool evening in the 40s and 50s

Tonight will be quiet and comfortable across the area. Temperatures will steadily fall under clear skies, with light winds keeping things calm. Lows will continue to be in the 40s and 50s.

Thursday is shaping up to be the warmest day of the week. High pressure will keep our weather dry and sunny, while temperatures climb well above what we typically see this time of year. We’ll be running roughly 10 degrees warmer than normal, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-80s.

Friday stays mostly dry, with a weak front sliding south through the region, bringing a few more clouds and slightly cooler temperatures.

The weekend is where things change! Tropical moisture will move in and begin pushing north toward the Carolinas, bringing a better chance for rain. Right now, it‘s likely that Saturday evening and Sunday will be wet, with the highest impacts in western North Carolina. Stay tuned!
