Police: Woman wanted in stabbing attack considered armed and dangerous

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Huntersville Police are searching for a 24-year-old woman who they say tried to stab someone to death inside their home. Cassandra Risso is on the run.

Officers say the attack happened on Windy Lea Lane just before midnight on Tuesday. The victim, who knows Risso, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say Risso left her weapon at the home before she took off. She may be in the Gilead Ridge Area and should be considered armed and dangerous.
