Rowan Co. Sheriff’s Deputies arrest man accused of buying and sharing child sexual abuse materials

ROWAN CO., N.C. – A 57-year-old local man is behind bars, accused of buying and sharing child sexual abuse materials. Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Fred Thomas Tyner, III.

They say while investigating him, they caught him buying explicit videos and images online and sharing them. They say he’d been doing it for months. Detectives searched his electronic devices Tuesday and say they found key evidence.

Tyner is in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond. He’ll face a judge on Friday.
