6 Charged With Providing Massages Without Licenses

MATTHEWS, NC — Six massage therapists have been charged with operating without a license. The charges come after a joint investigation between Matthews Police and the NC Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy.

Officials say the investigation focused on two massage therapy locations, including Relax Spa on E. Independence Boulevard and Lavanna Message Therapy on Sam Newell Road.

At Relax Spa, officials charged Feng Qin Lin, 48, and Chaoxia Lin, 34, with Massage without License. Feng Qin also faces an additional charge for Prostitution.

At Lavanna Massage Therapy, investigators charged Na An, 32, with Aid and Abet Massage without License. Ping Zhao, 57, Lianqun Li, 46, and Xia I, 48, are each charged with Massage without License.
