Perfect weather evening, with temperatures rising this week

Upper 80s return this week

We’re getting another stretch of warm, dry weather across the region, but don’t get too comfortable. Once again we have some major changes just in time for the weekend!

Tonight, we’ll notice a few more clouds moving in this evening, but there’s no need to worry about rain. We’re staying dry overnight. Lows will fall into the mid 50s.

Tuesday through Thursday: We’re keeping the sunshine and turning up the heat! High pressure will be running the show giving us several days of quiet weather and temperatures that feel more like late summer than October.

Tuesday will be another beautiful day to get outside, but by Wednesday and Thursday, the warmth really starts to build. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the middle and upper 80s.

Friday is where the changes come! A strong cold front will begin making its way into the Carolinas, and this one brings a serious temperature drop.

Now, don’t expect much rain with this front. The mountains could squeeze out a few showers, but that’s about it.

What you’ll really notice is the wind picking up out of the northwest as much colder air starts spilling in. By the time we head into the weekend, it’s going to feel like a completely different season!

Saturday and Sunday: Get those jackets ready!

We’re going from temperatures flirting with record highs during the week to afternoon highs only reaching the middle 60s.

Sunday morning is shaping up to be our coldest morning of the season so far. Add in a gusty northwest breeze, and you’ll definitely want an extra layer. Stay tuned!
