Deputies search for 5-year-old boy seen walking alone in Union County

UNION COUNTY N.C. — Deputies are searching for a young boy who was seen walking alone in a Union County neighborhood Tuesday night.

According to the Union County Sherrif’s Office, the child was seen around 10 p.m. near Rogers Road and William Clark Trail in the Meriwether subdivison.

The child is described as a 5-year-old Hispanic boy with dark, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, blue shorts and white shoes.

Deputies day they do not know the child’s name.

Anyone who sees the child or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
