A October nor’easter has developed into Subtropical Storm Josephine, with winds of 65 mph. Strong winds, high surf and coastal flooding all possible. The storm is currently located about 265 miles south of Nantucket and has maximum sustained winds of 65 mph.
Josephine is forecasted to move north-northeast before turning northeast and head away from the East Coast by Friday.
The National Hurricane Center expects hazardous marine conditions, dangerous surf and coastal flooding to continue along portions of the East Coast over the next several days.
The good news for North Carolina is that the storm continues to pull farther away. Any lingering impacts along the Outer Banks should become limited.
