Carolina Panthers announce Devin Lloyd as Salute to Service Award Nominee

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – The Carolina Panthers today announced linebacker Devin Lloyd as the team’s nominee for the 2026 Salute to Service Award presented by USAA. The annual award recognizes NFL players, coaches, staff and alumni who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting U.S. service members, veterans, and their families.

Now in its 16th year, the Salute to Service Award recognizes individuals across the league who go above and beyond to honor, empower and connect with the military community. Lloyd was selected as the Panthers nominee in recognition of his continued efforts to support the military community through youth football camps, base visits and his long-standing partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project.

“We are proud to recognize Devin Lloyd as the Panthers Salute to Service Award nominee,” said Riley Fields, director of community relations for the Carolina Panthers. “Devin’s continued commitment to our service members, veterans, and their families is exemplary and he continues to create opportunities to build meaningful connections with the military community.”

Lloyd, who grew up in a military household with both parents serving in the U.S. Navy, has hosted youth football camps for children whose parents face deployment, helping to create opportunities for children from a military home to build a community. He has also visited multiple military installations across the Southeast and around the world, traveling to Ramstein Air Base in Germany to support service members and recognize their service and sacrifice.

“Being named as the Carolina Panthers Salute to Service nominee is a special honor,” said Devin Lloyd, linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. “I’m incredibly grateful to all of our service members, past and present, who make sacrifices every day in order to keep our country safe. Their selflessness continues to inspire me and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape me into the person I am today.”
