Slightly Cooler Temperatures, Better Chance For Showers And Storms
The weekend will be warm and humid but slightly cooler with highs in the upper 80s Saturday followed by low to mid 80s Sunday, overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s and low 70s. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will give way to scattered showers and storms. Although no day will be a washout, there will be better coverage of rain than the previous couple of days and rain will impact some weekend plans. Similar conditions will linger into early next week.
Tropical Update: Florence continues to gradually move west far out in the Atlantic. It will remain relatively weak this weekend before restrengthening early next week. At this time, it appears Florence will move close to the southeast coast mid to late next week. The storm is still several days away and the forecast track and intensity will become more clear each day. The storm has the potential to remain off the coast or move further west and impact the east coast. All areas from South Carolina up through Maine should continue to monitor this storm.
