CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Panthers placed safety Da’Norris Searcy on injured reserve after he suffered his second concussion in the last 30 days.
Searcy suffered his first concussion of this season in Carolina’s second preseason game against the Dolphins and suffered another injury towards the end of the first half of last week’s loss to the Falcons.
Either Colin Jones or rookie Rashaan Gaulden will start in place of Searcy against the Bengals in week three, but both players are expected to play.
Searcy will be eligible to return to the active roster after being on injured reserve for at least eight games.
