Wilson’s World: Previewing this Sunday’s ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N. C. – Wilson can’t seem to get away from Ferris wheels this week.  Today he hopped on the one that has been set up for this weekend’s Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and gave us a look at the new track.

Wilson not only found out more about all of the events going on this weekend, but also taste tested some of the great food that race fans can enjoy.  He even gave us a little behind the scenes look at professionals with Bullfighers Only who will also be at the track this weekend.

The Bank of America ROVAL 400 is the first road course race in Monster Energy NASCAR Playoffs.  The 2.28 mile course has 17 turns with a 35 foot elevation change. The cutoff race in Round 1 will see drivers duel door to door in one of the most challenging and dramatic races on the schedule.

Fans who arrive early this weekend can take a trackside tour and learn the history of Charlotte Motor Speedway while checking out the garages, pit road and stopping by the winner’s circle for a quick selfie.

There is also a lot going on Saturday night when fans can “Rock the Roval” when rocker Sammy Hagar hits the stage after the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Drive for the Cure 200.

The green flag for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 goes up at 2pm on Sunday.  Check out the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s website at charlottemotorspeedway.com for information on events, ticket prices, parking and more.
