IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man they say broke into multiple homes throughout the month of September.
Dwon Carr, 26, is accused of breaking into at least five homes in Iredell County between September 11th and 25th. Deputies say the crimes occurred during the day on Buffalo Shoals Road in Statesville, as well as Linwood Road, Patterson Farm Road, Charlotte Highway, and Cornelius Roads in Mooresville.
In each instance, deputies say the victims reported a door being forced in.
Two additional suspects are also wanted in connection to the crimes. Detectives say they’re still trying to gather more information on these additional suspects and their role in the crimes.
Detectives say similar crimes are also being investigated in Catawba County, which include a matching suspect vehicle description.
Carr is charged with six counts of Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering and three counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
Iredell County deputies say nearly $2,000 worth of stolen items have been recovered so far from area pawn shops and returned to the owners.
