Wilson’s World: Previewing Albemarle Road Middle School Students’ OneWorld Stories Book Event at Park Road Books

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson has been keeping us up with the students at Albemarle Road Middle School and their work with OneWorld Stories. Today he was at Park Road Books previewing the students’ upcoming party and book signing this Saturday for their book “The Malicious Prince.”

Students at Albemarle Road Middle partnered up with students at a school in Chennai, India to write the book and have it published. The creation of the book brought together the two schools of different cultures so they could learn about each other. Some of the Albemarle Road students joined Wilson with photos of the students in India that they partnered up with while writing the book.

“The Malicious Prince” is the result of the OneWorld Stories project. The goal of OneWorld Stories is to break down cultural barriers and enable students to recognize their similarities, respect their differences, and take there experiences with them throughout their life.

The kids host their party and book signing at Park Road Books this Saturday,  October 13th at 11am.  Park Road Books is located at 4139 Park Road in the Park Road Shopping Center.
