Warm And Humid With Scattered Storms Through Wednesday, Tracking Hurricane Michael

Warm and humid conditions are expected through Wednesday with scattered showers and storms, it will not be a washout. The best chance for a few storms will be during the afternoon and early evening with areas of fog developing overnight. Temperatures will remain above average with highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the upper 60s. Michael will impact the region late in the week with beautiful conditions returning for the weekend.

*Michael will continue to intensify in the Gulf as it slowly moves north. The storm will make landfall along the Florida coast before moving northeast into Georgia and the Carolinas. At this point, the storm will track south and east of the Charlotte area. With this track, the heaviest rain and strongest wind will not impact the region. With that said, Thursday into Friday will be wet and windy. Most locations can expect 2-4 inches of rain along with gusty winds. Although widespread flooding is not expected, localized flooding is possible. With wet soil, some trees and power lines could come down. A slight change in the storm’s track could change the impacts on the area. The storm will race off the coast Friday with beautiful weather returning for the weekend.*
