CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have arrested two suspects they say are responsible for more than a dozen vehicle break-ins and one vehicle theft.
Theodore Clark and a 15-year-old juvenile are both facing multiple charges. Police say a third suspect is still on the loose.
CMPD says the three suspects broke into an unlocked vehicle on Baldwin Hall Drive in south Charlotte on Friday, and then stole the victim’s second vehicle that had the keys left inside.
Thanks to information received from OnStar, officers were able to locate the suspects about 45 minutes away in north Charlotte on Mirth Lane.
The suspects reportedly took off on foot when officers tried to approach the vehicle. Police say the 15-year-old driver and passenger, Clark, were taken into custody. Officers say they weren’t able to find the third suspect.
While investigating the case, police say they learned both suspects were involved in 13 additional vehicle break-ins throughout the area.
Clark and the juvenile have each been charged with 14 counts of Felony Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Larceny.
