LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s Game 2 for the Dodgers and Angels in Los Angeles this afternoon. The homestanding Dodgers won the opener last night and today are sending Clayton Kershaw to the mound. He was slated to pitch last night’s game but nagging hip problems forced him to be pushed back a day.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Cole Hamels makes his first start for the Texas Rangers tonight. In his last outing, as a member of the Phillies, he tossed a no-hitter last weekend against the Cubs. The Rangers are home to the defending World Champion Giants.
LEXINGTON, Ohio (AP) — Qualifying is taking place today for tomorrow’s Honda Indy 200 on the IndyCar circuit. Last year, Target Chip Ganassi’s Scott Dixon raced to his fifth victory at the track in Ohio the last eight years. Target Chip Ganassi has won the last six races at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.
TURNBERRY, Scotland (AP) — The third round of the Women’s British Open is under way in Turnberry, Scotland. South Korea’s Jin Young Ko has the lead at 8-under after 12 holes of play. The early clubhouse leader is Amy Boulden at 3-under.
