Rocky River High School Student Killed In Mint Hill Wreck

MINT HILL, S.C. — Police say a Rocky River High School student was killed in a crash on November 9th.  The accident was reported just before 7am on Lawyers Road.

Officers with the Mint Hill Police Department say the initial investigation indicates that the victim, 16-year-old Modesty Shelton, lost control of her vehicle and subsequently crossed the centerline and was struck in the passenger side by another vehicle.  Shelton was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to a news release.
