Man Accused Of Shooting At Police In Southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man fired shots at several officers Friday morning in southeast Charlotte.Β 

Officers were conducting a knock and talk on Village Lake Drive around 9:30 a.m.Β  While the officers were inside a residence, a man ran upstairs and started firing shoots at officers.Β 

The suspect then jumped out of a second story window and ran from the apartment.Β  Officers located the suspect and took him into custody.Β 

No officers or citizens were injured as a result of this shooting.Β  The suspect’s name has not been released at this time.
