Four Charged In Iredell County Armed Robbery And Assault
IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Four people have been charged after authorities say they robbed and assaulted multiple people at an Iredell County residence.
Iredell County deputies responded to an armed robbery in progress in the 100 block of Leota Lane in Harmony, North Carolina. Arriving officers found some subjects in a vehicle outside the home and discovered an assault occurring in the residence.
After stopping the assault, deputies were able to detain all seven suspects. and EMS was called to render aid to the victims. One victim had severe injuries from the assault and the other victim had stab wounds. They were both taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Authorities say seven people traveled to the residence but only four people had knowledge of the planned assault and robbery. Detectives believe the assault was a result of an ongoing dispute between the suspects and victims.
Three of the suspects were released after detectives determined they did not take part in the robbery.
The following suspects were arrested and charged:
Brian Darnell Cooper, 26: Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Simple Assault. Cooper was given a 150,000.00 dollars secured bond by Magistrate M. Nethken. Cooper is currently on probation and has a criminal history which includes arrests for Felony and Misdemeanor Larceny.
Kobi Lowell Brown, 19: Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault Inflicting Serious Injury, and Simple Assault. Brown was given a 150,000.00 dollars secured bond by Magistrate M. Nethken. Brown has a criminal history which includes arrests for Assault by Pointing a Gun, Assault on a Female, Communicating Threats and, Stalking.
Christian Hope Lowery, 26: Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary, Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Simple Assault. Lowery was given a 150,000.00 dollars secured bond by Magistrate M. Nethken. Brown has a criminal history that includes arrests for drug and traffic offenses.
Taylor Nicole Pendergrass, 19: Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary, and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Pendergrass was given a 150,000.00 dollars secured bond. Brown has a criminal history that includes arrests for Drug and traffic offences
