MINT HILL, N.C. — The left lane of I-485 SB is back open after a fatal crash involving an SUV.
The incident happened just under Lawyers Road in Mint Hill early Monday morning.
Officials say one person is dead after a jeep crashed into the barriers on the roadway.
The driver who was wearing a seat belt is said to have been speeding at the time of the wreck.
The crash has cleared and traffic is starting to flow normally.
Troopers are investigating the incident.
