Former Teacher At Sugar Creek Charter School Facing Charges For Sexually Assaulting Student

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials say a teacher at Sugar Creek Charter School has been terminated after being charged with sexually assaulting a student.

Vincent Littlejohn was a science teacher at the school.  He was arrested on November 26th and charged with taking indecent liberties with a student, taking indecent liberties with a child and two counts of simple assault.

A police report says the victim is a 13-year-old girl.  The police report also says the victim was sexually assaulted by Littlejohn multiple times over the last few weeks.

Littlejohn previously worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. CMS says he was hired in August 2015 and worked as a science teacher at Harding University High School until his resignation in June 2018.
