MATTHEWS, N.C. — Police in Matthews, N.C., are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store early Friday morning.
The Matthews Police Department says, on Friday, December 7, 2018, at approximately 12:28 a.m., officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Circle K located at 3424 Matthews Mint Hill Rd.
According to the store clerk, a man entered the store and pointed a gun at him while demanding money from the cash register.
The man was described as a black male, about 5’10” tall and 170 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, black track pants, and a red do-rag over his mouth.
The Matthews Police Department is also asking for help identifying two potential witnesses who came into the store prior to the robbery.
