CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have charged a man they say stole a woman’s vehicle at gunpoint Tuesday morning in Uptown.
The incident reportedly happened around 10:23am on N. Graham Street at W. 8th Street. The victim told police a man stole her Honda CRV at gunpoint and took off.
She was not injured.
The vehicle was quickly located by responding officers but refused to stop. The chase ended on The Plaza near Plaza Park Drive, police say, and the suspect was taken into custody.
Dionte Evans, 19, is charged with Armed Robbery and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Fleeing Law Enforcement.
