Fire Breaks Out At Empty Home Near Salisbury Country Club

SALISBURY, NC — A large house fire is under control after Salisbury Fire crews battled the blaze for nearly one hour Wednesday night.

The fire broke out at a home on Mocksville Avenue, which backs up to the Salisbury Country Club, shortly before 8pm. According to witnesses, the home was not occupied at the time.

Fire scene is deecalating and under investigation by SFD Loss Prevention and Investigation Division.
No injuries.

Officials say no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. There is also no word yet on the extent of damage to the home.
