STATESVILLE, N.C. — Deputies say they arrested a woman for stabbing a man during a domestic dispute in Iredell County.
Deputies responded to a home on Tarrington Drive in Statesville on December 23rd in reference to a domestic assault between a man and woman.
Upon arrival, deputies say they discovered that Kimberly Hobbs stabbed the man in the stomach with a knife. The man was treated and released for his injuries at a local hospital.
Deputies say the argument and assault occurred in front of a child who also lives in the home. Hobbs was charged with one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and one count of misdemeanor assault in the presence of a minor.
Hobbs is currently being held in jail on a Domestic Hold by the magistrate.
