CHARLOTTE, N.C. — 83-year-old Clarence Donald Steger, a retired pastor and former assistant city manager who went missing Monday afternoon, has been found alive and safe. He has been reunited with his family.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for help finding a missing 83-year-old man.
Police say a Silver Alert has been issued for Clarence Donald Steger.
Steger, a retired pastor at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church and former assistant city manager, was last seen Monday afternoon in the area of Providence Road at S. Caswell Road. Steger’s wife reported him missing just before 4pm.
Mrs. Steger reportedly told police her husband was last seen walking away from a business in an unknown direction. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Steger is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, short grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown suit, brown shoes and a tie.
Anyone with information on Steger’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
