Wilson’s World: Previewing the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics at the Baxter YMCA
FORT MILL, S.C. – Wilson was at the Baxter YMCA in Fort Mill where a lot of crazy and fun people will take a plunge into really cold water in February to help Special Olympics. The 2019 Polar Plunge supports the 29,000 athletes that are part of the Special Olympics of South Carolina. The plunge takes place on Saturday, February 9th at 9am.
The Fort Mill Police Department, Rock Hill Police Department and the Tega Cay Sheriff’s Department have joined together to be a part of the plunge and help support the Special Olympics and their athletes. Schools in the community are also coming together to support the event and a lot of the kids are going to be taking a part in the plunge.
There will be coffee, hot chocolate and all kinds of cookies for the plungers that are participating thanks to the Blessed Bake Shop.
