Mooresville Man Charged With Harboring Suspect Wanted In Multiple Counties
MOORESVILLE, NC — An Iredell County man is accused of harboring a suspect with outstanding warrants from Mecklenburg, Iredell and Rowan Counties.
Deputies say they were looking for 36-year-old Stephen Styron when they responded to a home on Rinehardt Road on Friday. A resident at the home, 53-year-old Brian Harwell, reportedly stalled deputies at the door while Styron hid in a bedroom closet.
When Harwell finally allowed deputies to enter, officials say they located Styron and took him into custody without incident.
Harwell was also arrested and charged with Felony Obstruction of Justice, Misdemeanor Harboring a Fugitive and Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Deputies say he also has a pending charge for Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine.
