Cheerleading Awards Controversy
A Wisconsin High School will no longer be handing out awards to cheerleaders based on their body parts. It comes after the ACLU sent a letter to the district after complaints from parents and staff. Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin had been holding an annual awards ceremony for Cheerleaders for a least five years.
Along with standard honors some of the awards given out were “big boobie”, “big booty”, and “string bean award” for skinniest cheerleader.
