Doctor Uses Robot To Tell Patient He Is Going To Die

Preparing for the death of a loved one is difficult no matter the circumstances. But a woman in California says she never expected a doctor would deliver the bad news that her grandfather was dying. The news was told to her by a video screen attached to a robot.

The woman was at her grandfather’s bedside in the intensive care unit when a nurse rolled the robot in.

She says the hospital should have had more dignity and compassion. The hospital now says, “We regret that we fell short of the family’s expectations.”
