LGBT & Allies Diversity Summit

This education event has 2 tracks of concurrent sessions: What Works in the Workplace Track The LGBT in the Workplace track will focus on best practices for creating and sustaining workplace LGBT initiatives which create a real impact on both bottom-lines and human beings. This year, focus is on sustainability, with sessions focused on: understanding options and scope of initiatives; assessing your needs to create short-term and long-term achievable and measurable goals; how to successfully tie to business objectives and incrementally build; and best practices for creating cultural change and increasing buy-in at all levels. Understanding Our Communities Track (FREE to all students) Understanding Our Communities are community driven discussions on alternative sexualities and gender expressions. Formats and talking points are collaboratively created with speakers, and often focusing on providing a richer understanding of the communities themselves, with insights on how they fit into the larger picture. This is of benefit to everyone, because the lessons and best practices teach us more about our own sexualities as well as understand other from their point of view!
