Auschwitz Memorial Warning

The Auschwitz Memorial has a warning for visitors: stop posing on the railroad tracks! A number of tourists have recently posted pics of themselves balancing on the tracks outside the memorial that’s near the site of a former concentration camp.

The memorial wrote on Twitter, “There are better places to learn how to walk on balance beam than the site which symbolizes deportation of hundreds of thousands to their deaths.”

This isn’t the first time social media photos at the memorial have sparked controversy. Back in 2014 a woman posted a selfie at the memorial with a smiley face emoji.
