HICKORY, NC — A driver faces DWI and other charges after he hit and killed a man on a bicycle in Hickory.

Police say Steffan Robinson crossed several lanes on NC127 north Monday morning.

Witnesses say he hit Tyler Sims of Granite Falls, a utility pole, and an empty car before he stopped.
