Man Out On Bond For Trafficking Heroin Charged With Trafficking Heroin In Iredell County

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A man out on bond for trafficking heroin in Rockingham County, North Carolina, has been detained for trafficking heroin in Iredell County.

On Friday, July 12th, 2019, Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies were called to assist another agency with a traffic stop on Turnersburg Highway.

Authorities say a license check of the driver, 36-year-old Nicholas Brandon Ward of Reidsville, North Carolina, indicated he was wanted in Rockingham County.

Iredell County Deputy K. Robbins arrived and detained Ward on the outstanding warrant.  Deputies located a large quantity of heroin during a search of the vehicle.

Deputy Robbins arrested Ward and took him to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Felony Trafficking of Heroin by Possession, Felony Trafficking of Heroin by Transport, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Ward received a $800,000 bond on these charges. On Monday, July 8th, 2019, Ward had been released from custody in Rockingham County after posting a $500,000 secured bond for Trafficking Heroin and other related charges.
