CHARLOTTE, NC: Three suspects are being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail on first degree murder charges. Early Tuesday morning, members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 20 year old Jose Manuel Sosa, 21 year old Edwin Medel, and 22 year old Lindy Kompeak Hoeun for the murder of Tony Van Tran. The deadly shooting happened Monday night on Northgate Trail Drive.
