
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County has been classified with severe drought conditions, according to the North Carolina Drought Advisory. The affected counties were updated on August 4th to reflect recent dry conditions in the Carolinas.
The Drought Advisory asks residents in all affected areas to implement drought response actions and limit their water usage. The full list of drought areas in North Carolina is included below. The counties in bold are the newly added areas experiencing severe droughts.
