Health officials in New York say a vitamin E chemical is now the key focus in their investigation of severe illnesses caused by vaping.  Extremely high levels of vitamin E acetate were reportedly found in nearly all vaping products tested. At least one vape product with the chemical has been linked to a person who got sick and submitted a product for testing.

Texas Governor Issues Executive Orders to Combat Mass Shootings

Texas governor Greg Abbott is issuing eight executive orders seeking to prevent mass shootings. Abbott is requiring the Texas Department of Public Safety to improve the process of reporting information to the Texas suspicious activity reporting network.  Less than a week ago, a man went on a rampage in West Texas killing seven people and last month, 22 people were killed at an El Paso Walmart.

Charlottesville Murder Victim’s Mother Suing Man Who Ran Down Her Daughter

The mother of the woman killed in the Charlottesville, Virginia protests in August 20-17 is now suing the convicted murderer. Susan Bro is filing a 2-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit against James Alex Fields Junior. Fields is serving life in prison for his involvement in the white supremacist rally where he drove a car into a crowd of counter protesters killing Heather Heyer and injuring dozens others.

Samsung Releasing New Foldable Smart-Phone

Samsung announced it will finally debut its new foldable smart-phone today.  The ‘Galaxy Fold’ will only be sold in South Korea..but a U-S release date is expected in the coming weeks.
