Pole sitter Jeff Gordon led a race-high 87 laps in his final Daytona 500 but was involved in a last lap crash involving several cars.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Utah is in danger of falling from the top 10 in The Associated Press men’s basketball poll. Dillon Brook scored 11 straight points for Oregon in the second half of a 69-58 triumph over the ninth-rated Utes. Brooks finished with 19 points and the Ducks improved their NCAA tournament chances by improving to 20-8.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Anthony Gill contributed 13 points and Darion Atkins added 11 in second-ranked Virginia’s 51-41 triumph over Florida State. The Cavaliers managed to win after starting guards Malcolm Brogdon and London Perrantes suffered facial injuries from a collision with Virginia ahead just 31-28 with 15 minutes to play. Both headed to the locker room, and Brogdon went back into the game a few minutes later to help the Cavs improve to 25-1.
