CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a teenager for an armed robbery and shooting in east Charlotte. Investigators say 17-year-old Antonio Collins committed the robbery on Summer Grove Court on Feb. 19th.
During the robbery, police say Collins fired one round from a gun into the sidewalk. That round then struck one of the victims in the foot. The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Detectives were able to identify Collins as the suspect. He was arrested and charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm in the city, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a minor.
