Wilson’s World: Kicking Off the Fall 2019 Pennzoil AutoFair at the Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Fall 2019 Pennzoil AutoFair kicks off at 8am this morning with gates open at 8am both Saturday and Sunday as well.

CONCORD, N.C. –  Car lovers around Charlotte are doing the happy dance this morning because the Fall 2019 Pennzoil AutoFair kicks off today at 8am at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Wilson was back at the track this morning before the gates opened to get us a look at what is going on with the show this year.

This year brings some new great cars to fair.  Fans of the classic 1968 Steve McQueen movie “Bullitt” will get to see the original 1968 green Ford Mustang driven by McQueen during the movie.  Just a few of the great cars in the Showcase Pavilion that you will find are the Speed Racer Mach 5,  a 1962 Shark Roadster and a 1954 Frazer; as well as many more cars and trucks.

And if you remember the Jeep that was abandoned on the beach during hurricane Dorian, now is your time to check it out.  Wilson talked with the Jeep’s owner Nick and his cousin Joe, who drove the Jeep down to the beach that day, about the incident and how the Jeep came to be stranded on the sands at Myrtle Beach.  But they are turning a strange situation into a good cause to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts.  Get more info on the Jeep as well as their Go Fund Me fundraiser HERE.

The Pennzoil AutoFair is an event for the entire family.  Fans can check out the thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, exotic sports cars and classic automobiles. There will be over 10,000 automotive vendor displays, a massive manufacturers’ midway, a kids’ Play Zone, fun fair food and more.

Tickets for adults are only $13 each day with kids 13 and under getting in free with a paying adult. There are tons of things to see, do, and eat for everyone.  For schedule and exhibit information, tickets, parking and directions to CMS go to the website HERE.  The event runs through Sunday.
