Man Charged With Breaking Into Multiple Charlotte Apartments

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD says a man has been charged with breaking into several Charlotte area apartments, stealing credit cards and making fraudulent purchases online.

The crimes were reported between October 17th and October 31st.

Police say Rahine McGlon, 44, is accused of breaking into apartments on Graham Street and Camden Road earlier this month. In each case, police say he is accused of also stealing multiple credit cards and using them to make fraudulent purchases online.

An employee at Mosaic Apartments on College Street also reported McGlon breaking into a vacant apartment on October 27th.

On Thursday, McGlon was reportedly arrested after an employee at Camden Gallery Apartments on Camden Road advised police that he had returned after being seen trespassing on the property several times prior.

CMPD says McGlon is charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, 1st degree trespass, financial transaction card theft, and financial transaction card fraud.

Investigators are working to determine whether McGlon is responsible for several similar cases. If so, additional charged may be filed.
