CLEVELAND (AP) β€” A person familiar with the visit says free agent quarterback Josh McCown is meeting for a second day with the QB-deficient Browns.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity Wednesday because the team is not revealing plans during its quarterback search.

McCown was released last week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft.

The Browns have made finding a starting a quarterback a priority this offseason.

Brian Hoyer will likely hit free agency and Johnny Manziel checked into a rehab facility last month.

McCown went just 1-10 as a starter last season. He may not be much of an upgrade for the Browns, but could serve as a temporary fill-in if Hoyer leaves, Manziel shows he can start or the team grooms a rookie for the job.

McCown has also visited with Buffalo, Chicago and New York Jets.
