Last Warm Day, Major Cold Headed to the WCCB Viewing Area

Veteran’s Day will be mainly sunny and mild across the area – perfect for all the celebrations and parades around the region. Soak in the warmth..it will be a while before we even get highs back into the 60s. Rain will begin overnight. The mountains will likely see a transition to snow with .5″ to less than an 1″ possible. A flash freeze possible for the highest elevations (above 3500′) – meaning slick roads Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday. The rest of the region will be dealing with rain and showers throughout the day on Tuesday. Much colder overnightΒ as temps drop into the 20s through the Piedmont. Wind chills in the single digits possible for the mountains. Highs on Wednesday will be the coldest sinceΒ late January with highs not getting out the 40s! We’ll warm back to the mid 50s by Friday, but temps will remain below average into the weekend.
