NEW DELHI (AP) β Badminton great Lin Dan says he is opposed to a change in the points system being contemplated by the world federation in a bid to make the game more exciting.
Lin said on Wednesday that another change to the points system “is not good for the game,” and there was nothing wrong with the current system.
A match is best-of-three games of 21 points each, but the BWF will discuss alternative options at a forum on Friday on the sidelines of the Thomas and Uber Cup.
The federation wants feedback on three systems being considered β two games of 21 points with another of 11; three games of 15 points, or five games of nine points.
